Seit 2006 existiert am Haus für Poesie die Werkstatt der open poems für 23- bis 28-jährige Dichter:innen.
Die 2020 Werkstatt umfasste fünf Sitzungen, die zwischen Januar und Mai 2020 stattgefunden haben. Die Texte, die diese Anthologie versammelt, sind großenteils auf Anregungen und Aufgabenstellungen der „Young Poems“-Werkstatt hin entstanden.
